How to remove grease or oil stains from clothing at home.

You had a delicious dinner last night and suddenly realised you ve got this nasty greasy spots on your favorite dress. No worries, you can get rid of it.

Baby powder or starch

Try to get as much grease away from the clothing as possible with a paper towel. Cover grease stain with baby powder or any starch you have. Leave it for 5-10 minutes. Remove the baby powder or starch carefully with a  paper towel or spoon. Clean the rest with a soft brush. Repeat if necessary.


Ammonia is a universal cleaning product. It helps to get rid of coffee, tea, blood, ink, glue and even rust stains.
Mix 1 tablespoon of ammonia with ½ cup of warm water. Wet a cotton swab with the solution, wipe grease spot. Put paper towel on both sides of the spot and iron it on low temperature.

Dish detergents.

Simply cover the entire greasy spot with dish detergent. leave it for 5-10 minutes. Wash it out. Be sure to use clear detergent for light fabrics. Use colored detergent only on dark fabrics.


Shampoos also have special agents that fight grease. Cover the grease or oil spot with shampoo. Leave it for 5-10 minutes and wash it out.

Shaving foam.

You just need to rub  shaving foam into the spot, wait for 5 minutes and wash it out.

You can make this amazing cleaning remedy:

Mix ¼ cup of baking soda with ½ cup of Hydrogen Peroxide. Add ¼ cup of “Dawn” and mix all ingredients well. Cover any kind of spots with this  remedy and leave it for about 1 hour. Wash it out. You can use this  particular homemade cleaning product on any color and any fabric.

Super Enzymes.

Check your supplements. If you have a super enzymes it will help you to remove the grease or oil from your clothes.  Wet the stain with warm water and put on the spot the enzymes. It will break down the fat and protein in the spot on your clothes making it easy to clean.
